From structural components to advanced survivability systems, our composite manufacturing expertise enables optimized weight reduction without sacrificing durability or protection.

Ravelin Defense develops scalable ballistic protection systems tailored to evolving threat environments and operational requirements across land, sea, and air platforms.

Unrivaled dedication to quality and precision for critical applications across land, sea, and air.
We support the defense, security and commercial industries, specifically providing survivability and protection solutions across the following domains:
Land: Lightweight composite armor for infantry vehicles, energy-attenuating seating systems, and specialty transport vehicles.
Air: blast protection integrated into the airframe and crew stations, cockpit doors and security systems that harden the most critical node on the aircraft.
Sea: NAVSEA-approved structural fabrication and precision enclosures for surface vessels and submarinesAir: blast protection integrated into the airframe and crew stations, cockpit doors and security systems that harden the most critical node on the aircraft.
Infrastructure & Security: Patented secure doors, vaults, and structures protecting people and sensitive materials from bullets, blasts, and forced entry.
Ravelin Defense takes a fully integrated approach — using advanced modeling and simulation tools to validate a design before a single part is built, then leveraging in-house rapid prototyping capabilities to bring it to life quickly and accurately.
Before fabrication begins, our engineers analyze ballistic and blast effects using state-of-the-art hydrocodes (including CTH Code) and non-linear computational methods to predict the dynamic response of structures, vehicles, and occupants under impact and high-G load conditions. These tools have been refined over 20 years and more than 10,000 ballistic shots and blast tests, giving us high confidence in design performance before committing to hardware.
Once a design is validated computationally, we move directly into prototyping. Our in-house capabilities span metal fabrication, machining, welding, composite molding, tooling, and structural bonding — all built directly from solid models for speed and accuracy. Every prototype is produced under our ISO-9001 controlled quality system, ensuring the transition from test hardware to full-rate production is seamless.
